The images here reflect my love of live music. In my life I have had the enormous opportunity to photograph some diverse and gifted musicians, some you will instantly recognize and perhaps some that you don't. For the musicians you don't know, I encourage you to follow the links that I've included with the image. The fact that I am also a musician has comletely affected the way I capture a performance through the lens. I anticipate explosive moments and grab them. I wait for the dynamics of the music to inspire the precise moment of my shutter click.

Every show I've photographed has been unique and challenging in different ways. There was most often a three song or less time limit in the photo pit and sometimes very little light, making sharpness and exposure difficult to achieve. And every time I have walked away from the experience knowing that I've been a part of the musician's outpouring of creativity and emotion through their songs. For that, I am forever grateful.
